Funktional was launched in 2009 by Los Angeles-based designer, Jennifer Park. After graduating with a degree in Economics from University of California, Irvine, she wanted to pursue her passion in apparel by going back to receive her degree in fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in LA. Upon graduation in 2000, she designed for several contemporary brands. During that time, she felt the need to design a line inspired by her fashion sense and her target customer: one who demonstrates modern styling, understands refined details, and luxurious, high-quality fabrics at reasonable prices to meet every woman's budget. Funktional's collection contains wearable, edgy silhouettes, silk tops and dresses, all-season knitwear, and innovative tailored jackets.
